Job Description

We are actively recruiting for a passionate and experienced Home Care Support Worker to join our collaborative, and supportive Meath at Home Service to provide care and support to our clients in their homes. We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who can take a proactive approach in addressing the support needs of our clients and provide care that will maximise their independence and to live their preferred lifestyle in their home. 

The role will support our clients in our Como, Kingsley and Trigg Residential Village and the successful candidate will be mentored and guided to take on additional responsibilities in a coordination position with the service. 

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a role providing care and support to the aged in their homes;
  • Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Support/ Health Service Assistance 
  • An understanding of dementia and mental health;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • An outgoing and friendly personality;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations;
  • The skills to be adaptable to suit the needs of the residents
  • Willingness and ability to take on a coordination responsibilities as and when the service grows
  • Drivers license and access to a reliable car is an essential requirement of this position
  • A current National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months) and a visa with working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
