Job Description
As a Kitchen Hand/ Food Attendant at Meath Care, you will be an integral part of the MLC Catering team based in Como. This casual position in the catering team offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality food services within a dynamic and supportive environment. Your main responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
Delivering a quality dining experience to residents
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in food service areas
Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors
Adhering to food safety regulations and procedures
Working collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth operations

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in working in a commercial kitchen;
Certificate II in Hospitality, desirable
Previous experience in food handling that is in line with HACCP;
Very high standards of food production and presentation;
Ability to follow written direction and record necessary data;
Impeccable grooming and personal presentation;
Ability to be organised and an eye for detail;
Good time management skills;
Good communication skills;
Ability to work autonomously and in a team; and
Previous relevant experience in aged care or a hospital setting is highly desirable.
A current National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months) and a visa with working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
